Agata Adamczyk & Associates law firm is the Partner of Expedition IV Kongo

Agata Adamczyk & Associates law firm is the Partner of Expedition IV Kongo - the car and motorcycle off-road expedition to the heart of Africa which takes place in June and July 2013. Following the rule: "Together we will get to the top" which motivates us in our daily work, we have taken legal support over this endeavor and its organizer: Morgan Advertising Ltd. After China, Morocco and the Black Sea Coasts, Congo is the fourth project of this kind led by Morgan Advertising. This year's expedition leads through the wilderness of Africa: via Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal (the car stage), and subsequently by plane to Congo (the motorcycle stage) – almost 14 thousand kilometers altogether. The travelers will not only get to know the local atmosphere and the African culture, but also will face the African wildlife, climate and their own limitations.

International conference on cross-border inheritance

On 14th to 15th June 2013 we had a pleasure to participate in the international conference organized by The Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Gdańsk in cooperation with AEA-EAL Association Européenne des Avocats – European Association of Lawyers seated in Brussels.

The Conference was dedicated to the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council no 650/2012 of 4 July 2012 on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and  enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession and on the creation of a European Certificate of Succession. Thisregulation will enter into force on 17th August 2015 and isdesigned to be fundamental for the inheritance issues, especially when diseased or inheritance are connected with another Member State, e.g. Polish citizens who live and work abroad who have property in Poland and in other countries of the EU. This regulation will have an influence on legalsituation in companies in case of shareholder’s, partner’s or owner’s death.

It should be expected that these issues will become more significant in Poland, as a result of an increasing mobility of Polish people and contracting marriage with citizens from other countries of The European Union.
